We recommend adding EXO-SKIN for clients who want to take their microneedling treatment a step further—especially when focusing on signs of aging, uneven tone, texture and overall skin quality.

Traditional microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the skin's natural repair response and collagen production. It's an excellent treatment on its own for improving texture, fine lines, acne scarring and overall skin quality.

Microneedling + EXO-SKIN starts with those same collagen-stimulating benefits but incorporates the EXO-SKIN system as part of the treatment. Think of it as our more advanced microneedling option for clients who want additional support for skin rejuvenation.

You can get beautiful results with either treatment—we'll help you decide which option makes the most sense for your skin and goals.

For most clients looking for corrective results, we typically recommend an initial series of 3 microneedling treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart.

After completing your initial series, we'll reassess your skin and determine whether additional treatments or periodic maintenance would be beneficial.

The exact number of treatments can vary depending on what we're addressing. Deeper acne scarring, pigmentation, texture concerns and more advanced signs of aging may require a more individualized treatment plan.

This depends on the treatment you receive.

After microneedling, it's common for the skin to look pink or red and feel warm, tight or sensitive—similar to a mild sunburn. This typically improves over the first few days as the skin begins its natural recovery process. Mild dryness or flaking may also occur.

After a chemical peel, you may experience redness, tightness, dryness and varying degrees of flaking or peeling depending on the type and strength of peel performed.

With any advanced skin treatment, protecting your skin afterward is important. You'll receive specific post-care instructions, including when to resume active skincare ingredients, exercise and other activities. Daily SPF is essential while your skin is recovering.

Some clients notice improvements in the way their skin looks and feels within the first few weeks, but collagen remodeling takes time.

Results typically continue to develop over the weeks and months following treatment, which is also why we often recommend a series rather than judging your results after a single session.
